3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back JaMycal Hasty could begin the 2021 season on the practice squad. And that's with Jeff Wilson Jr. (knee) expected to miss around half of the season after tearing his meniscus. When healthy, Raheem Mostert will be the team's primary back, with rookie second-rounder Trey Sermon battling Wayne Gallman II for the primary backup duties. The 49ers also selected Elijah Mitchell late in this year's draft. Hasty had 39 carries for 148 yards and a touchdown in just eight games in his rookie season and finished the year on Injured Reserve due to a fractured collarbone that he suffered in Week 10.
