Jameson Taillon Doomed By First Inning
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon struggled mightily in Saturday's no-decision against the Philadelphia Phillies. Taillon failed to make it out of the first inning, surrendering four runs on five hits with one walk and no strikeouts. The 29-year-old was in trouble from the start, allowing four straight hits and a walk to start the contest. It's a major step back for Taillon, who had allowed three earned runs or less in three consecutive outings coming into the game. His underlying metrics still point to a pitcher who's had some measure of misfortune, though it will be hard rolling his 5.74 ERA out there for fantasy purposes until he truly puts it all together.
