Jamal Murray Reportedly "Fine" After Sunday's Exit
2 years agoDenver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray had to sit out the end of Sunday's game against Brooklyn with a sore left knee, but Mike Singer of the Denver Post has reported that he is "fine". Murray exited the contest in the fourth quarter after having put up 16 points in 28 minutes. He finished an awful 5-for-19 from the field, with all of his makes coming from three-point range. The 26-year-old has had surgery to repair a torn ACL in the same knee, so there's a reason to worry anytime he is having trouble with it again. Luckily, it seems like it was only a small scare this time. However, if Murray is forced to take some time off, Bruce Brown figures to move into the starting unit, while Reggie Jackson and Ish Smith should see more minutes. Brown has averaged 12.9 points and 4.0 rebounds with 4.0 assists and 1.1 steals as a starter this season.
