Jaleel McLaughlin Could Have Bigger Role In Week 14
1 year agoDenver Broncos running back Samaje Perine (knee) was a late addition to the Week 14 injury report and is questionable to play on Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers, which could thrust rookie Jaleel McLaughlin into a larger role following a recent drop in playing time as a complementary backfield option for Denver. The 23-year-old surpassed Perine as the No. 2 RB behind Javonte Williams earlier this year but has taken more of a back seat in recent weeks. In the last three games, McLaughlin has just seven carries for 20 yards while catching seven passes for 20 yards. He could be in line for more touches behind Williams this Sunday in a strong matchup against LA, but even so, the undrafted rookie would be an RB3/flex in deep fantasy leagues, at best. McLaughlin has three total TDs on the year but hasn't scored since Week 5.
