Jake Oettinger Gets His Second Shutout In Three Games
2 years agoDallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger made 33 stops for his second shutout in three starts on Saturday against Arizona, backstopping the team to a 4-0 win. He was the busiest in the first period when the Coyotes had 13 shots on goal, but Oettinger was a brick wall at the back and the team responded by getting three goals before the first break. With Scott Wedgewood having nullified the Kings in the previous game, the Stars boast three shutouts in total from their last four games. We've seen some superb defensive work from the team, and Oettinger in particular has been in impressive form throughout the season. He has managed four shutouts overall and owns a 21-7-4 record with a 2.20 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage.
