Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in the team's season opener on Wednesday. This will be the first of many starts for the 31-year-old early in the season, as Carey Price (personal) is currently away from the team. Allen had a pretty solid debut season for Montreal in 2020-21, posting an 11-12-5 record with a 2.68 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. He faces a Toronto team that's without Auston Matthews (wrist) and could also be missing Mitchell Marner (undisclosed), so Allen finds himself in a decent spot to start the season with a victory.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
