St. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen will take the crease in Wednesday's matchup with the Edmonton Oilers. The 28-year-old is coming off a victory in his last appearance against the Avalanche on November 30th, stopping 27 of 29 shots against. Overall, it's been a trying season for the Blues' starting netminder, having posted just seven wins, a 3.24 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage in 18 starts. The Blues have struggled mightily over the first two months of the season and Allen's shaky play has been a significant factor in that. However, considering the Oilers have scored three goals or more just once in their previous six games, Wednesday might be a good time for Allen to get back on track.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
