Jaguars Release Chris Ivory
7 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran running back Chris Ivory on Friday, which will save them $3.75 million against the salary cap. Ivory played very little behind promising rookie Leonard Fournette last season and didn't even play in the final two regular season games as a healthy scratch. Ivory had just 821 yards and four touchdowns and caught 41 passes for 361 yards and a score in 25 games in two seasons with the Jags. Nearing the end of his career, Ivory is highly unlikely to land a significant role in a backfield on the free-agent market.
