Jacob deGrom Doesn't Record a Strikeout
Jacob deGrom did something for the first time in his career on Monday. The right-hander failed to record a strikeout during his outing for the first time in 229 career starts. He threw 5 1/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits and walked two batters. He somehow went the whole game without striking out a single one of the Toronto Blue Jays hitters. This wasn't a good outing for fantasy managers, but deGrom has allowed two earned runs or less in eight straight starts. He'll look to rack up some strikeouts against the St. Louis Cardinals in his next start.
