Isaac Seumalo Restructures His Deal
4 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles restructured offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo's contract on Wednesday, creating $2.408 million in salary cap space. The Eagles dropped his base salary to the veteran minimum and paid out the rest of his salary for the 2021 season in a bonus. Seumalo is signed through the 2022 season after signing a three-year contract extension in 2019. The third-round pick in 2016 has developed in recent seasons and isn't likely going anywhere anytime soon. The 27-year-old from Oregon State has dealt with his fair share of injuries in recent seasons, but he's expected to take over as the starting center once Jason Kelce decides to hang up his cleats. Philadelphia is currently projected to be around $29 million over the salary cap after Seumalo's restructuring.
