New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo has been quietly productive since essentially moving into an everyday role, but he had a loud night at the plate against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Nimmo finished 4-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, two runs scored, and a walk. The big effort brings his slash line for the season up to a great .294/.450/.541 (.991 OPS) with three home runs, four triples, four doubles, 18 runs scored, six RBI, and three stolen bases. Nimmo is the kind of player who will do most things solid, but not stand out exceptionally well in any area except OBP. He’s a great player to utilize if you need a boost in your averages, but will likely be subpar in counting stats.--John Smith
