Hector Neris Blows Save Versus Yankees
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Hector Neris allowed three runs in the ninth inning on Saturday to take his fourth blown save this season in 13 save opportunities. Neris looks unhittable at times, then there are other times where he issues free-passes to get in trouble. That was the case in this game as he walked both batters that scored on the three-run homer he served up to DJ. LeMahieu. Manager Joe Girardi has been loyal to Neris, but high-profile blown saves like this one get the fans and media asking questions, especially when Philly has other good arms in the 'pen like Archie Bradley and Ranger Suarez. Neris should be rostered in fantasy for now, but his job security is slipping.
