Gilbert Burns Set For Another Co-Main-Event Showdown
2 years agoThis weekend, top-ranked welterweight contenders Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad will throw down in the co-main event of UFC 288 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday. Both men have been vocally campaigning for a title shot for quite some time, and their willingness to step up on very short notice and face one another is a risk that deserves to be rewarded. We just saw Burns less than a month ago at UFC 287 when he fought Jorge Masvidal. In what turned out to be Masvidal's retirement fight, Burns put on a masterclass, pretty much dominating the fight wherever it went. It was Burns' second straight win after the loss to Khamzat Chimaev. DraftKings sees Burns as the favorite with a salary of $8,200. Throughout his UFC career (20 bouts), he averages 76.4 fantasy points per contest.
