The New York Giants are expected to hire Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka as their offensive coordinator, according to sources. Kafka, 34, was the youngest of the three finalists for the job, with the Giants also considering Pep Hamilton and Chad O'Shea. It's an interesting choice for new head coach Brian Daboll, as Kafka has not been a play-caller. Kafka began his coaching career as a quality control coach for the Chiefs in 2017, and he was promoted to quarterbacks coach the next season. Daboll called the plays on offense for the last four years as the Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator, but it remains to be seen if he'll continue calling plays for a Giants offense that became one of the worst in the league by season's end in 2021.--Keith HernandezRead More News
