Gerald Everett Does Very Little In Win Over Jets
1 year agoOther than Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler finding the end zone twice, nobody on the offense really did much in Monday night's 27-6 win over the New York Jets. Tight end Gerald Everett caught both of his targets for 18 yards on a night where quarterback Justin Herbert threw for a season-low 136 yards on 30 attempts. The weak game for Everett snapped a string of two straight games with a touchdown for the 29-year-old tight end. After eight weeks, Everett ranks 22nd among tight ends with 5.7 half-PPR fantasy points per game in seven contests. However, he could be in line for a bounce-back opportunity in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions in a game that should feature much more offense from the Bolts. Receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) will miss at least three more games while on Injured Reserve, too.
