George Springer Progresses To Running Work
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo said on Tuesday that outfielder George Springer (quadriceps) is doing some running drills now in his rehab, and the next steps will include sprints and then running the bases. There haven't been any setbacks in his rehab from a quad injury, but Springer still has at least another week before fantasy managers can hope to put him back into their starting lineups. The 31-year-old has played in just four games in his first season in Toronto because of quad and oblique issues. Springer still has a great chance to return before the end of the month, though, although you may want to be patient with him upon his return. Springer has no home runs and three RBI in his 18 plate appearances in 2021.
