George Springer Has Surgery On Elbow
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (elbow) had surgery to remove a bone spur from his elbow this week, and the team expects him to be fully recovered by spring training next year. Springer suffered a concussion and a sprained shoulder in the team's final postseason game in the Wild-Card Series against the Seattle Mariners after colliding with shortstop Bo Bichette. The 33-year-old should be fully recovered from those injuries by the start of spring training as well, and he'll once again be a highly coveted fantasy outfielder in 2023 drafts. The four-time All-Star finished his second year in Toronto with a .267/.342/.472 slash line, an .814 OPS, 22 doubles, 25 home runs, 76 RBI, 89 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 133 games played.
