6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer went 3-for-13 over the weekend against the A's with one RBI. Springer does has 12 runs batted in over his last 15 games played but is fresh off of the disabled list with a thumb injury. It has been a tough season for the slugger, as he has battled ineffectiveness and nagging injuries. He is slashing only .249/.333/.430 with 19 home runs after hitting 34 last season. He has only four home runs over his last 143 at-bats and is posting a career-low .276 BABIP heading into this week's action. Springer can go on hot streaks faster and hotter than most hitter's but, to this point, has not been able to catch fire.--Joey C - RotoBaller
