George Pickens On The Week 12 Injury Report
1 year agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens (shin) was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice, leaving his status for the Week 12 contest versus the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals in question this Sunday. Pickens will need to get in a practice either Thursday or Friday to be a realistic option for the Steelers and fantasy managers this weekend. The 22-year-old second-year wideout can make highlight-reel catches with the best of them, but he's been a boom/bust fantasy commodity in Pittsburgh's lackluster offense in 2023. He has three 100-yard games and three trips to paydirt but hasn't gone over 50 receiving yards since Week 6. The Steelers' move to fire offensive coordinator Matt Canada this week could be good news for Pickens the rest of the way, but he needs to get back on the field first. Allen Robinson II and Calvin Austin III could see bigger roles on Sunday if Pickens is out or limited.
