Gavin Lux Reports To Camp Friday
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux reported to the team's summer camp on Friday. The team's top prospect and No. 2 overall in baseball, per MLB Pipeline, missed the first week of workouts for undisclosed reasons. Lux is the favorite for the starting job at second base in 2020, but it's not a complete lock, especially since he's behind in camp. The 22-year-old hits from the left side and put up a .347/.421/.607 slash line, 26 home runs, 76 RBI, 99 runs and 10 stolen bases in 113 games for Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City in 2019. If he wins the job heading into Opening Day, Lux could present a nice fantasy value at his current ADP of 151. He also provides eligibility at shortstop and will be residing in a stacked Dodgers lineup.
