11/7:New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said that catcher Gary Sanchez (shoulder) is having surgery on his left shoulder. The shoulder has been bothering Sanchez since 2017. The 25-year-old was one of the first catchers off the board in fantasy drafts this year, but he didn't live up to his lofty price. He played in just 89 games due to injury and hit a pathetic .186/.291/.406 in 323 at-bats. Sanchez still managed to slug 18 home runs and drive in 53 runs, however, demonstrating his incredible upside. While he's still likely to be expensive in 2019 drafts due to the power upside, Sanchez could come at a slight discount as he looks to bounce back.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
