Garrett Crochet Punches Out Nine To Earn Fourth Win
Garrett Crochet pitched seven innings of one-run ball in Saturday's 10-1 win over the Kansas City Royals. The former first-round pick allowed seven hits and walked one, while striking out nine batters. Just one of the knocks against him went for extra bases (double) as he fired in 75 of 106 pitches for strikes, bolstering an excellent 29% CSW (18 whiffs). The lone tally against him came in the third inning when Royals left-fielder Mark Canha singled in teammate Bobby Witt Jr. Crochet has been superb to start 2025, holding a 1.93 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with a 65:21 K:BB ratio across nine starts (56 innings). He'll carry a 4-2 record into his next outing, which projects to come against the Atlanta Braves at home late next week.
