San Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (hamstring) will not play against the visiting Marlins. The veteran was removed from Thursday's contest against Miami, and although it wasn't abundantly clear what the reason was at the time, the 35-year-old was scratched due to left hamstring tightness. Longoria should be considered day-to-day, although it wouldn't be a surprise if he ended up on the 10-day injured list if his condition doesn't improve.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
