Evan Engram To Have Surgery Friday
5 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (foot) said he'll have surgery on Friday for a partial Lisfranc injury. Dr. Robert Anderson will perform the surgery. Engram said he'll be "more than ready" for training camp next summer. The 25-year-old managed to play in just eight games in 2019, thoroughly disappointing his fantasy owners at the thinnest of positions. Engram had 44 receptions for 467 yards and three scores, and he's now yet to play in a full season in his first three years in the NFL. He'll no doubt be drafted as a TE1 again next year, but his stock will fall now that he's become more of an injury risk. Rookie Kaden Smith will remain the primary tight end for the G-Men if Rhett Ellison (concussion) can't make it back in Week 16 against the Redskins.
