Evan Carter Back In Left Field For Game 7
1 year agoTexas Rangers rookie outfielder Evan Carter is starting in left field and batting third on Monday night for Game 7 of the American League Championship Series against the Houston Astros and right-hander Cristian Javier. Carter started Game 6 on Sunday on the bench with left-hander Framber Valdez on the mound for Houston, but he came off the bench to go 1-for-3 with two strikeouts. Robbie Grossman will return to the bench with Carter in Monday's starting lineup. The 21-year-old rookie has been amazing for the Rangers in his first career postseason, going 11-for-35 (.314) with a homer, five doubles, three RBI, eight walks, two stolen bases and six runs scored in 11 games (nine starts). Carter is 1-for-3 with a double and two strikeouts against Javier.
