He signed a two-year, $4.125 million contract with the Capitals earlier in the week after missing the start of the season following offseason shoulder surgery. Bear will replace Martin Fehervary (upper body), who was injured in Friday's matchup against the Islanders. The 26-year-old, who has previously played with Edmonton, Carolina, and Vancouver, boasts 63 points (16 goals, 47 assists) in 251 career games with 344 shots, 312 blocks, and 198 hits.
