Los Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Eriq Swan earned Midwest League Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing six no-hit innings for High-A Great Lakes in his last start. The righty walked two and struck out seven in the combined no-hitter for the Loons, which was a shortened seven-inning game last Thursday as it was the second game of a doubleheader. The 6-foot-6 hurler has been so-so in 2025, recording five starts of one earned run or less allowed, but has three starts with a combined 14 earned runs allowed, leading to a 5.04 ERA on the year. The Dodgers' 16th-ranked prospect has a big fastball that can hit triple digits, which has helped him to a solid 27.1 percent strikeout rate (38 K in 30 1/3 IP) this year, but a 16.4 percent walk rate needs work, and could eventually push him to the bullpen if not improved. The 23-year-old has an ETA of 2027 per MLB Pipeline, but as a fireballing reliever, he could be there sooner.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerRead More News
