Colorado Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson will be out for the rest of the regular season with a fractured patella. Johnson's injury, combined with the recent announcement of starting goaltender Semyon Varlamov's ailment, will be a tough obstacle for the Avalanche to overcome as the team fights for the final wild card spot in the West.
