Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak wasn't able to complete Tuesday's matchup against Carolina, leaving after only seven shifts with a hand injury. He was hit by a shot and head coach Jon Cooper has noted that this will be more of a week-to-week thing. Cernak doesn't blow you away with his offensive numbers, but he's a major force at the defensive end and has been eating up a lot of minutes lately. The 24-year-old boasts 36 hits and 17 blocks for the season in 12 appearances. Zach Bogosian (lower body) has been nearing a return and will be one of the options to replace Cernak in the lineup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
