Minnesota Wild center Eric Staal scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give his team a 3-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday afternoon. The 35-year-old buried his 16th goal of the campaign by depositing home a loose puck in the front of the net on the man advantage just 1:52 into the extra frame. It was a great start to the month for Staal - following up an excellent December in which he posted 13 points (seven goals, six assists) and a plus-four rating in 15 games as his Wild climbed the standings. After registering just 52 points in 81 games in 2018-2019, Staal has suddenly found his scoring touch once again and now has 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists), eight power-play points and 74 shots in 42 games played.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
