Eno Benjamin 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Torn Achilles Wipes Out 2023-24 Season
1 year agoNew Orleans Saints running back Eno Benjamin (Achilles) will miss the 2023-24 campaign after tearing his Achilles during practice. He will undergo surgery and has been ruled out for the 2023-24 season. The 24-year-old bounced around the league in his second season in the NFL in 2022, playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints. He spent most of his time (10 games) with the Cardinals, but he finished with 77 carries for 313 yards (4.1 yards per attempt) and two touchdowns. He added 25 receptions on 34 targets for 193 additional yards in 15 total games (three starts). Benjamin ended the year with the Saints, serving as a backup to David Johnson in New Orleans' depleted backfield behind Alvin Kamara. The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2023. Benjamin will look to fully recover from his Achilles injury and bounce back in 2024.
