Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins picked up his first career NHL shutout on Saturday, blanking the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 at T-Mobile Arena. The 25-year-old, filling in for injured netminder Joonas Korpisalo (knee), was terrific throughout the full 60 minutes in this one, stopping all 27 shots thrown at him. After failing to record a victory in his first eight career starts earlier this season, Merzlikins has won five of his past seven starts - posting a save percentage greater than .900 in all but one of those contests. As a result, the Latvian rookie now carries a 2.70 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage in 17 appearances in 2019-2020. Just 37% owned in Yahoo! leagues, Merzlikins should be considered a high-priority pick-up for the short-term.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
