Eagles Won't Hire Offensive Coordinator
5 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles won't officially hire an offensive coordinator to replace Mike Groh, according to an NFL source. Instead, head coach Doug Pederson will go with a structure with run- and pass-game coordinators to aid him in improving an Eagles offensive unit that disappointed in 2019 despite winning the NFC East. Most of the team's offensive struggles were related to injuries to their receiving core, as DeSean Jackson missed most of the season and Alshon Jeffery was placed on Injured Reserve late in the year. If they can stay healthy for the majority of the 2020 season, Philly's offense should improve under quarterback Carson Wentz.
