Eagles Optimistic On DeSean Jackson
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said that he's "optimistic" that wide receiver DeSean Jackson (abdomen) will make his return in Week 9 against the Bears. Jackson will likely be listed as questionable on the final injury report and could be a game-time decision, but this is the closest he's been to playing since his Week 2 injury. A matchup with Chicago's stingy defense isn't the best place to return, however, which would make D-Jax a boom/bust WR3 if he's active. His return would give Philly the much-needed deep threat they've been lacking and push Mack Hollins out of three-receiver sets.
