Eagles Haven't Decided A Starting QB For Week 14
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said on Monday that he hasn't decided on the team's starting quarterback for Week 14 against the Saints after Carson Wentz was benched for rookie Jalen Hurts in the Week 13 loss to the Packers. Wentz went 6-for-15 for 79 yards while running the ball three times for 18 yards before being replaced by Hurts in the third quarter. Hurts went 5-for-12 passing for 109 yards, a touchdown and an interception and gave the Eagles offense a spark that Wentz just hasn't been able to create in 2020. At this point, it seems likely that the Eagles will turn to the rookie the rest of the way, so fantasy managers shouldn't plan on having Wentz in superflex leagues this weekend. Hurts has intriguing upside as a thrower and a runner, but he'll be a low-end QB2 against a tough New Orleans defense if he gets the first start of his career under center.
