Dylan Crews Hasn't Done Any Baseball Activities
Dylan Crews (oblique) is still building up his strength in his injured oblique, according to manager Dave Martinez, and hasn't been able to swing a bat yet or do any baseball activities as he recovers from a strained left oblique. Crews has already missed two weeks with his injury and doesn't appear ready to return from the 10-day injured list anytime soon. Nothing has gone right for the 23-year-old former second overall pick in 2023 out of LSU, as he started his first full season in the big leagues in 2025 by going 31-for-158 (.196), although he has seven home runs, 24 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 45 games played. If Crews continues to progress slowly from his oblique injury, there's a chance he won't be ready to return until the second half of the season. With Jacob Young (shoulder) also on the IL, Alex Call and prospect Robert Hassell III are receiving everyday playing time in D.C.
