Dontrell Hilliard Signed To Active Roster
3 years agoThe Tennessee Titans signed running back Dontrell Hilliard to their active roster from the practice squad on Tuesday after waiving veteran Adrian Peterson. Hilliard has played in only two games for Tennessee this year, but he played 63% of the offensive snaps in the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans and ran for 35 yards on seven carries. He also caught eight of his 10 targets for 47 yards in the passing game. With Peterson now out of the picture and with receivers Julio Jones (hamstring) and Marcus Johnson (hamstring) on Injured Reserve, Hilliard could have a sizeable role this Sunday against the New England Patriots, especially if Jeremy McNichols doesn't return from his concussion. Hilliard will be a useful pickup in deep PPR leagues this week, but he'll still be a shaky RB3/flex, especially if McNichols is active.
