DJ LeMahieu Back In The Lineup
4 months agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (face) is back in the starting lineup on Sunday for the series finale against the Colorado Rockies at Yankee Stadium, playing first base and batting ninth against Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber. LeMahieu had to be scratched from the series opener on Friday after he was hit in the face by a ball during pre-game warmups. The 36-year-old didn't play on Saturday but was cleared from the league's concussion protocol, allowing him to return on Sunday. The matchup against Gomber is a nice one, but it's hard to recommend LeMahieu to any DFS gamers the way he's been hitting this year, especially at the bottom of the lineup. He has only had 185 at-bats in 2024 and is batting just .189/.263/.249 with two homers, 24 RBI and 16 runs scored. LeMahieu is getting the nod at first with rookie Ben Rice sitting against the southpaw.
