Didi Gregorius Hitting Fifth In Season Debut
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow) is hitting fifth and playing shortstop against Indians starting pitcher Zach Plesac on Friday in his season debut. Gleyber Torres (shoulder) will start on the bench as a result. Gregorius had a long road of recovery from Tommy John surgery, so don't be surprised if he starts off slow. He hit a career-high 27 home runs and had 86 RBI and 10 stolen bases last year for the Yankees, though, so he should be owned in most leagues for the second half of the season. The Yankees will ease him in and have him play in two of three games every season, so keep that in mind.
