5/2:Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman (knee) is slowly making progress toward being at full strength as the team continues offseason workouts. Freeman sustained ligament damage in his right knee at the end of last year but didn't require surgery. He injured both his posterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in the regular season finale and played through those injuries in two playoff games. "I'm able to do a lot of things that I couldn't do back in January, February," Freeman said Wednesday. "Running, cutting, sprinting -- getting a little stronger. ... Making hard cuts, sprinting a little faster. The progress is getting better and better each day. So I'm just going along with the program." The Falcons may be cautious and hold him out of organized team activities on May 21. He missed two games with a concussion in 2017 but ran for 865 yards on 196 totes with seven rushing scores. He also added 36 catches for 317 yards and another touchdown. Freeman will continue to be the lead back again in 2018, but Tevin Coleman will share touches with him and Atlanta also drafted Ito Smith in the fourth round for depth. Freeman is a low-end RB1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
