New York Mets catcher Devin Mesoraco's X-rays came back negative after getting hit in the left elbow on a backswing in Monday's win over the Marlins, per Anthony DiComo. Mesoraco suffered a burst fluid sac in his elbow which caused swelling, but he stayed in for the remainder of the game, going 1-for-4. Mesoraco is not expected to miss any time. The backstop has posted a lowly .190 batting average since joining the Mets, but has a .346 on-base percentage and has hit 3 home runs with 5 RBI. In a position where production is hard to come by, Mesoraco's pop could be helpful in two-catcher leagues.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
