Derek Carr The Best Deep Passer When Under Pressure Last Year
4 years agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was excellent when throwing the ball deep last season, posting an impressive completion percentage over expectation of +14.5 percent and passer rating of 124.2 on deep throws. He also had a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 10:1. Carr led the league with 11 completions, 426 passing yards and six touchdowns on deep passes against the blitz in 2020 and had the second-highest expected points added at 60.2. And the 30-year-old did it without getting much from rookie first-round wideout Henry Ruggs III. Losing Nelson Agholor, who had six deep-ball touchdowns, could hurt Carr in 2021, though. Carr really improved himself with respect to the deep ball last season, but he'll remain more of a low-ceiling QB2 for fantasy managers.
