David Njoku Expected To Miss Three Weeks
4 years agoUpdating a previous report, Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) has a sprained medial collateral ligament and is expected to miss three weeks, according to a source. The Browns put Njoku on Injured Reserve on Monday, but it looks like he'll miss the minimum time with his knee injury. The 24-year-old caught all three of his targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in the Week 1 loss to the Ravens. Njoku will probably remain on the waiver wire in shallow leagues, but he's worth stashing in deeper formats if he continues to have a role alongside Austin Hooper when he returns. Hooper will have TE1 upside with Njoku on the sidelines for a bit, and rookie Harrison Bryant might get mixed in some more.
