David Montgomery Back At Practice; Still Questionable For Week 1
4 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery (groin) returned to practice but remains very iffy for Week 1 against the Lions. Montgomery injured the groin during a non-contact drill two weeks ago and is expected to be a game-time decision heading into Sunday. Despite an on-paper appealing matchup, Montgomery playing Week 1 may not deliver fantasy results and, even worse, could re-aggravate the injury. If there is a Bears running back worth considering for Week 1 it would be Tarik Cohen, who's value will be tied mostly to PPR-formats. If Montgomery sits for the first game, it is fair expect him to be back at full strength heading into Week 2.
