David Bakhtiari Won't Play In Week 12
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that left tackle David Bakhtiari (ankle) won't play in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The Packers will re-evaluate their left tackle after their Week 13 bye. Bakhtiari has yet to play this year after tearing his ACL in 2020, and the Packers want to have him healthy for the stretch run. Yosuah Nijman has played well for the Packers in three games while replacing Elgton Jenkins earlier this year, so the Packers appear comfortable using Nijman on quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind side until Bakhtiari is ready to make his season debut. Jenkins was carted off the field in the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and suffered a season-ending torn ACL.
