Darrell Bevell Won't Coach On Saturday
4 years agoDetroit Lions interim head coach Darrell Bevell, who was deemed a high-risk close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19, will not coach the team in Week 16 on Saturday against the Buccaneers, according to sources. Bevell will be the first head coach to miss a game this year due to COVID-19 protocols. Wide receivers coach Robert Prince will fill in for Bevell on game day, while quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan will call the offensive plays. The team's new defensive play-caller will be Evan Rothstein. The Lions Defense was already looking at a tough task against quarterback Tom Brady and Tampa's offense, and things just got more difficult. Avoid the Lions defense at all costs in fantasy this weekend.
