3 years agoDetroit Lions running backs D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams have been splitting carries with the first-team offense through the first few practices of training camp. Swift comes into camp as the incumbent starter, but head coach Dan Campbell has been very clear that he will ride "the hot hand". "We're going to use both of those guys, they know that," Campbell said. For fantasy teams worried that Swift will lose touches to Williams, Campbell also noted that Swift isn't going to be stuck on the sidelines if Williams is producing. "If Jamaal is in there, we're rolling. Jamaal is going to be rolling and we'll use Swift for other things, which is fine," Campbell said. "That's a good problem to have." The Lions backfield situation will be one to monitor closely in the preseason leading up to drafts.--Joey C - RotoBaller
