New Jersey Devils defenseman Damon Severson scored a late game-winning goal in Saturday's matchup with Washington, making it 3-2 with 1:59 left in regulation. He also had an assist on a Jesper Bratt goal. The Swedish winger finished the game with a goal and assist as well, after helping Wayne Simmonds notch a power-play goal. Nikita Gusev had two assists. The Devils are playing much better at the moment, and Severson is on a nice offensive run with 11 points in his past 13 games. He's been helped by the fact that he has started to log some huge minutes since the turn of the year. The 25-year-old blueliner logged 26:07 on the ice on Saturday, while upping his points tally for the season to 27.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
