New Jersey Devils defenseman Damon Severson opened the scoring during a 4-3 overtime loss to the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. He also had two SOG, three hits, and one block in the contest. Severson has had a strong start to the 2018-19 campaign with two goals, four assists, and 11 hits through seven games. He is seeing upwards of 19 minutes a night with exposure to the second power-play unit. While this level of production is unsustainable, he should surpass his career high of 31 points that he put up in 2016-17. Severson is an option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues that has the upside to reach 40 points.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
