Dalvin Cook To Hold Out Without Reasonable Extension
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook will not take part in team-related activities until he receives what he thinks is a "reasonable" deal, according to a source. "He's out," A source told ESPN. "Without a reasonable extension, he will not be showing up for camp or beyond." The Vikings gave quarterback Kirk Cousins an extension this offseason and are paying him $30 million per year. He'll make $150 million over five seasons. Cook has one year at $1.3 million left on his deal. He wants to match or surpass the $13 million a year that David Johnson is making. Things could get messy for Cook and the Vikings this summer. The 24-year-old had 1,135 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 2019 and remains a strong RB1 choice for fantasy owners in a run-first offense. The Vikings and Cook haven't spoken since last week and have no new talks scheduled.
